Dr Mark Forbes is a Specialist General Physician, with a particular clinical interest in Diabetes and Endocrine disease.

He also has an interest in ongoing care and management associated with transitional age (15 years and over)
Diabetes and Endocrinology.

Dr Forbes holds extensive experience in the public sector, and in 2016 joined Robina Private Hospital. He is available for private practice appointments and welcomes referrals in either Diabetes, Endocrinology or General Medicine.

He is also happy to receive elective admissions to Robina Private Hospital’s medical ward.

Dr Forbes undertook his medical training in South Africa and the UK before relocating to Australia.

Since 2007 he has been based on the Gold Coast, having established the General Medical Unit at Robina Public Hospital and Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH), and also running high demand Diabetes and Endocrine Clinics at Robina Public Hospital. He also established the Medical Assessment Units at both Robina and GCUH, and maintains an active clinical interest in Acute General Medicine, Diabetes and Endocrinology.
