Dr Jom Jiao is a rehabilitation medicine specialist with an interest in general rehabilitation of stroke, neurologic, orthopaedic, cancer, musculoskeletal conditions and reconditioning following surgery and medical illnesses.

Dr Jiao's path in medicine has always been centred in rehabilitation. He completed an undergraduate degree in occupational therapy before pursuing medicine. He undertook his specialty training with the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine and has worked in both public and private hospitals in Queensland and New South Wales and has over 15 years of clinical experience.

He offers a range of rehabilitation services in inpatient and outpatient settings with a special interest in ultrasound-guided procedures for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions such as spasticity and joint disorders.

Dr Jiao is an associate lecturer at the University of Queensland and enjoys teaching medical students and junior doctors.

He is a member of the Rehabilitation Medicine Society of Australia and New Zealand (RMSANZ), Australian Association of Musculoskeletal Medicine (AAMM), and RMSANZ hypertonicity/ spasticity special interest group. He works with a team of highly skilled allied health professionals to help patients achieve meaningful goals optimising safety, independence and function.
