The program is designed to empower you with knowledge and skills to practice strategies for managing symptoms, reducing harm, and developing problem-solving and coping skills. It integrates principles from Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), creative art therapy, dietetics, and exercise physiology.

This program may be suitable for you if:

  • Individuals with a severe and enduring eating disorder (SE-ED) who are looking for a supportive environment to improve their quality of life.
  • Have had an eating disorder that has persisted for ten or more years, despite various treatment attempts.
  • : You want to be empowered and equipped with knowledge and skills to practice strategies for managing symptoms, reducing harm, and developing problem-solving and coping skills
  • Cannot attend in-person therapy/treatment for an eating disorder

How to get started

Individuals must have medical/psychiatric stability. Medical and psychiatric clearance must be obtained by GP/Psychiatrist. A screening appointment will be conducted to assess for suitability into the program. Strict group rules will apply. Referrals can be emailed to rbn.eatingdisorders@aurorahealth.com.au

How much does it cost?

This program is covered by most major health funds. We ask that patient’s confirm any applicable out of pocket or gap costs directly with Robina Private. Cost without private insurance coverage is $220 per session.
