Professional background
Dr Greg Paton is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the mouth, jaw and face. Dr Paton is dedicated to providing the highest level of service and care, and offers day patient care at Robina Private Hospital.
He specialises in wisdom teeth removal, facial fractures, bone grafting for implants, corrective jaw surgery, dental implants, sinus lifts and oral surgery.
Dr Paton was awarded his MBBS from the University of Queensland Medical School in 1993. After serving five years in the Royal Australian Navy as a medical officer, he studied dentistry at the University of Adelaide. Dr Paton was awarded his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2001 and received the University Medal for academic excellence.
Dr Paton’s Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training was undertaken in Queensland at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Royal Brisbane Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital and the Mater Hospital. He was admitted as a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons in 2005, and was awarded the Australian and New Zealand Association of Maxillofacial Surgeons fellowship medal for the highest result in the FRACDMS(OMS) examination.
Following twelve months of private practice on the Sunshine Coast, Greg accepted an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery fellowship position in Ireland. This was followed by an appointment to the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne as the inaugural Stryker Orthognathic Surgery Fellow.
Greg has been in full time private practice on the Gold Coast since 2008 and his office is conveniently located at Robina.
