This 8-session program is designed to meet the needs of mature aged patients experiencing adjustment difficulties, anxiety and/or depression. The program is based on the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other strength-based therapies. It allows patients to review their life, both past and present, in a positive and supportive environment.

The goals are to provide you with skills to help tolerate intense feelings and learn to manage self-harming behaviours building a life worth living. The 4 modules of Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotional Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness are taught within the first 6 months of the program with the modules then repeated.

The Masterclass Program is a 12-week program run on a monthly basis for graduates of the full 12-month DBT Program. The Program serves as an extension of the skills learnt within DBT including understanding theoretical components that form the foundation of DBT. Provides patients with skills support, theory and peer support from other graduates of the Program.
