Visitor recommendations

The following applies for visitors, including volunteers and contractors, to all Aurora Healthcare hospitals in Queensland.

Aurora follows Government recommendations:

Visiting high-risk settings | Health and wellbeing | Queensland Government (www.qld.gov.au)

Masks

You can wear a mask at any time if you choose to.

We recommend you:

  • stay home if you're sick
  • keep up to date with your vaccinations
  • maintain good hygiene
  • where a mask when visiting if feeling mildly unwell

Entry restrictions for visitors / staff with a Covid-positive result

From 14 October 2022, the requirement to isolate after a positive COVID test is no longer mandatory.

However, for the continued safety of our staff and patients in our hospitals, we are following the advice from National Cabinet regarding facilities within high-risk settings. We therefore require all staff and visitors who are COVID-19 positive to not enter our hospital facilities for seven (7) days from their positive COVID-19 test date.

We thank you for your patience and understanding in our duty to provide a safe environment for those in our hospitals.
