The program combines graded physical and cognitive exercise alongside psychoeducation. Cognitive training exercises are designed to challenge your ability across multiple domains of cognition including attention, memory and visuospatial skills, while simultaneously challenging your balance, strength, and cardiovascular endurance. 

This program may be suitable for you if:

  • Older adults who may be experiencing age-related cognitive decline and physical deconditioning.
  • Individuals recovering from neurological conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, or other conditions affecting cognitive and physical functions.
  • People with mild cognitive impairment who want to enhance their cognitive abilities and maintain their independence.

Program content

Education sessions includes learning to manage the factors mentioned previously as well as learning strategies to improve memory recall and compensate for cognitive impairment in everyday life activities.

How to get started

A referral from a psychiatrist for our mental health programs or specialist / general practitioner for our rehabilitation programs is required to access Robina Private Hospital's services.

How much does it cost?

Participants are admitted as a day patient and as such, can claim their attendance via their health fund. Privately paying is also an option. We ask that patients confirm any applicable out-of-pocket excess or gap costs directly with Robina Private Hospital by calling 07 5665 5100.
