This 18-session program is based on the principle of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), accepting what is out of your personal control while committing to the action to enrich your life and make it more meaningful. The Masterclass if intended for those who have completed the ACT Foundation course and are looking for more information and application of acceptance and commitment skills. 
 

This program may be suitable for you if:

What you will experience

Throughout this program you will participate in group sessions lead by a qualified Allied Health Professional. Each session will support you to use new skills to guide, inspire and motivate yourself to set goals, take action and enrich your life. You will practice applying skills in your own day-to-day before the next session. Then, bring what you have learnt and experienced to each group for feedback and input.

Treatment objectives

Objective 1

Review of Skills – you will review the skills of Acceptance, Values and Committed Action exploring and adding to knowledge learnt in ACT Foundation

Objective 2

Review of Self-Compassion and Mindfulness – review and share experiences, build on knowledge and learn new skills to improve self-care and awareness.

Objective 3

Grief and Loss – Learn how the six signs of struggle play a role in grief and loss and how the ACT skills and processes you already possess can help you manage.

Objective 4

Unhelpful Habits – reflect on your own unhelpful habits and learn how ACT strategies may be used to address and modify them.

Objective 5

Relationships – explore ACT based strategies which may help us to live in line with our personal values when it comes to relationships.

Objective 6

Learn ACT based skills and strategies to manage forgiveness, change and perfectionism.
