Dr Ross Warner is a Colorectal Surgeon in private practice at Robina Private Hospital.
Dr Warner first completed his Bachelor of Medical Science at the University of Sydney and went on to complete his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with Honours at the same institution.
He completed his general surgical training in 2010 at Royal Prince Alfred and Concord Hospitals and during his training completed a Masters of Surgery at the University of Sydney. He then underwent a year of general surgical fellowship training in Wagga Wagga before undergoing two years of specialist minimally invasive colorectal training at The Tweed Hospital and John Flynn Private Hospital.
Dr Warner’s main interests are in robotic and laparoscopic colorectal surgery, colorectal cancer, faecal incontinence and pelvic floor disorders including prolapse surgery. He also has expertise in endoscopy including gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
Dr Warner has been at the forefront of robotic colorectal surgery in Australia having completed over 270 robotic operations to date. He has spoken at many robotic and national conferences on this topic. He has also proctored/mentored other colorectal surgeons around Australia undertaking robotic surgical training.
His interest in pelvic floor disorders, including incontinence, evacuatory disorders and prolapses, led him to develop the Coast Colorectal Pelvic Floor Clinic. This is a dedicated lab for testing of the pelvic floor and is the only one from Brisbane to Sydney.
He has a particular interest in teaching and is an active participant in both the Griffith and Bond University teaching programs as well as tuition of surgical registrars rotated through The Tweed Hospital.
