Professional background
Dr Haritha Devineni is a Consultant Psychiatrist with special interest in Women’s and Perinatal Mental Health, Youth Mental Health and Eating Disorders.
Dr Devineni has worked in both the public and private sector with experience in adult inpatient and community services, with additional experience in persistent pain services. More recently she has been working in youth mental health services with an interest in eating disorders, neuro developmental disorders (ADHD, Autistic Spectrum Disorders) and early psychosis and other emerging serious mental health problems in youth and young adult groups.
In addition to clinical experience, Dr Devineni is active in teaching at both Griffith and Bond Universities. She has been an examiner for Bond medical students for many years. She is also a supervisor for psychiatry trainees at Gold Coast hospital.
Dr Devineni is currently a member of the Medicines Advisory Committee for Gold Coast Health Service.
