Dr Mohsen is a specialist Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist. He currently has private appointments at Robina Private Hospital and public appointments at Gold Coast University Hospital as a staff specialist in gastroenterology.

Dr Mohsen specialises in:

Dr Mohsen was raised in Sydney. He completed his medical degree at the University of Sydney (Honors) and subsequently completed his Advanced Gastroenterology Training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (NSW Liver Transplant Centre) and Liverpool Hospital.

Dr Mohsen’s training has encompassed the full gamut of Gastroenterology issues including liver disease and functional bowel disease. He has extensive experience in the performance of luminal gastrointestinal procedures and experience with the management of complex inflammatory bowel disease.

After completing his gastroenterology training in Sydney, Dr Mohsen took up a Research and Clinical Fellowship in Oxford (John Radcliffe Hospital), United Kingdom where he focused on inflammatory bowel disease and quality colonoscopy.

He has presented at local and international conferences and has published studies in peer-reviewed medical journals. He is actively involved in the teaching of gastroenterology trainees and junior doctors at Gold Coast University Hospital.

Dr Mohsen has a strong commitment to quality patient-centered care. He is firm in his belief that good communication and patient advocacy is the key to good care and optimal outcomes.
