Dr Rebecca Ryan is a General Gastroenterologist and Transplant Hepatologist.
Rebecca has a strong interest in Women’s Digestive Health/Functional gut disorders as well as her Subspecialty Training in General and Transplant Hepatology.
Dr Ryan graduated from Flinders University of South Australia with Honours in 1998 and began her advanced training in Gastroenterology at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. Her final years of training (including a clinical fellowship year) were at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and Greenslopes Private Hospital.
Dr Ryan worked as a Senior Staff Specialist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital from 2007 until 2017, and as a Senior Member of the Queensland Liver Transplant Team.
Dr Ryan has been working in private practice since 2007, joining Montserrat Day Hospitals in 2012.
She took 18 months off of fulltime private practice to live in Bali, Indonesia with her husband and 3 sons, whilst still doing locum cover at Montserrat.
Dr Ryan relocated to the Gold Coast to perform Endoscopy and Colonoscopy at Robina Private Hospital. She also consults at John Flynn Private Hospital from June 2021.
