Dr Muhammad Khan is a Geriatrician and Consultant Physician. He did his primary medical degree from University of Karachi. He trained for internal medicine at the Aga Khan University Hospital and achieved his fellowship in general medicine. Dr Khan's keen interest in geriatric medicine led to further training in major tertiary care hospitals in Sydney Australia. He completed his fellowship from the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2017 and in the same year he joined Tweed Byron Health Services Group as a staff specialist Geriatrician. He provides geriatric services both at the Tweed Hospital and Murwillumbah District Hospital. Dr Khan has vast clinical experience, which spans over 25 years. He has a good knowledge of local disease spectrum and care needs of the ageing population both in northern New South Wales and Gold Coast regions. He has an interest in Perioperative medicine, Orthogeriatrics model of care, Dementia, Delirium, Osteoporosis, Polypharmacy and Falls. Dr Khan is a memeber of the American College of Physicians and the Australia and New Zealand Society of Geriatric Medicine.
