Dr Michael Hagan is a consultant psychiatrist with a particular interest in adult, young adult and adolescent psychiatry. He has a broad interest in the care of patients with psychiatric conditions including PTSD and ADHD, and assisting in the management of acute and chronic mental health challenges.

Dr Hagan accepts appointments and referrals for individuals aged 13 and over.

He has been a consultant psychiatrist since 1993 and has practiced in both Queensland at Currumbin Clinic and Western Australia. Dr Hagan has been director of services for addiction and child and adolescent psychiatric services, and holds a Diploma of Obstetrics and Certificate in Child and Adolescence and is a member of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP). Throughout his career, he has also taken an active involvement in the education of medical students and trainee psychiatrists.

In his capacity as director of psychiatry at Robina Private Hospital, Dr Hagan has played a critical role in the ongoing development of the Hospital’s comprehensive range of private mental health services and patient-centred care.

Dr Hagan is happy to receive referrals for patients with a range of mental health issues including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, psychosis and ADHD.
