Meet our newest consultant psychiatrist; Dr Steven Jones
Dr Jones, (MBBS , MPsych , FRANZCP , Adv. Cert Child and Adolescent , Adv. Cert Psychotherapy Psych) will be joining our team of specialist consultants in January 2022.
It is with great pleasure that we welcome Dr Steven Jones to our team of psychiatrists at Robina Private Hospital.
Dr Steven Jones (MBBS, MPsych , FRANZCP , Adv. Cert Child and Adolescent , Adv. Cert Psychotherapy Psych) is a Consultant Psychiatrist who will have rooms located at Robina Private Hospital and will be admitting inpatients from January 2022.
He specialises in general adult psychiatry and youth mental health and brings a caring and down to earth approach to the treatment of people across a range of ages. Dr Jones recognizes that treatment should be a collaborative process and works to develop a treatment plan that's unique to the individual. He also encourages input from family and carers, and recognises their important role in successful recovery.
Dr Jones has worked extensively in both public and private settings, including the Royal Children's Hospital (Melbourne), The Royal Melbourne Hospital and most recently Delmont Private Hospital. He has completed advanced training in both psychotherapy and, child and adolescent mental health.
Currently, he practices full time at Robina Private Hospital and is able to offer a range of appointment times, and both outpatient and inpatient care. Dr Jones accepts patients aged from 10 years of age through to 80 years of age.
